PACC-DC Debuts “Friendly, Inviting” Members’ Site

Business Leaders May Now Register Online for Events, Post Career Opportunities & Classified Ads Free

Washington, DC, September 12, 2006-Today the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of the Metropolitan Washington, DC Area Inc. (PACC-DC) announces the launch of its new interactive, members-based website.   Located at www.pacc-dc.org, the new site is designed to attract more members to the fast-growing association of Filipino American entrepreneurs and other business leaders of the Greater Washington Metropolitan region.  Association officials say the new site provides more interactivity, usability and content for its members.

“Our members are going to get so much more from this new PACC-DC website,” explains PACC-DC President Mitzi Pickard.  “Just to name a few site enhancements, members can submit their networking or fund development events through a centralized calendar system, register online for upcoming PACC-DC or affiliate events, and post their career openings on our new Job Bank.”

From an operational stand point, the PACC-DC website will help to modernize the internal processes of the organization. In fact, the site will allow for time-saving back-office features such as “online credit card processing, reliable content management, and improved centralized member database.” Now, PACC-DC members and online visitors can get news updates on business, community and culture through RSS feeds and electronic newsletters from the new PAAC-DC online.  Even more, as a way to foster business development, all members and area businesses can add their listings, or classified ads free of charge on the new PACC-DC.

Filnet, Inc., a data quality and web development company, performed the technical analysis, recommendations and implementation for the PACC-DC website. According to Board Member Chris J. Baltazar, the website will also serve as a membership development tool. “Our goal is to increase membership by catering to our members’ needs,” says Mr. Baltazar, who is also president/CEO of Filnet. “In essence, this new website is a clearinghouse of business leaders from all backgrounds who want to share ideas, build teaming relationships, and network for success.”

“PACC-DC made it priority to revamp our website to communicate to and better serve the ever-growing, Internet savvy business person,” reflects Ms. Pickard. “As a result, this website is a friendly, inviting tool for our members and constituents to help them connect to the resources that will grow their businesses.”
